Practical
Information The
priest who is assisting with the preparations will normally be the one
to perform the wedding. If you wish another priest, please let that be known.
If the priest is not from the parish, ask him to contact the
Pastor for permission and delegation. Inquiries
and questions should be directed to the priest who is assisting you with
your wedding plans. The
usual offering for a wedding of an affiliated parishioner is $450.00.
This fee covers the services rendered by St. Andrew Avellino,
including music, and a donation to the Church. Floral
arrangements and wedding program booklets are the responsibility of the
bridal couple. Please note the directives on the enclosed information
sheet and give it to your florist. Music
arrangements must be made with our Director of Music Ministry, Mr.
Stephen Galizia. Photographs are permitted in the Church, but not in the Sanctuary area. Photographing of ceremony should not interrupt the procession of the ceremony. |
Please note the directives on the enclosed information sheet and give it to your photographer. Rehearsals
are conducted on Thursday evenings.
Plans for the rehearsal can be made with the priest or by calling
the Rectory. The white
runner that is sometimes used for the main aisle is unnecessary at St.
Andrew Avellino. It is also a safety hazard. It gets rumpled and torn,
looks unsightly and can cause people to trip. It is not permitted at St.
Andrew Avellino. For the same reasons, flowers may not be strewn down
the aisle during the entrance procession. Nor is rice, birdseed or
confetti permitted to be thrown on the Street of the Church. Please
consider the safety of others in your preparations. It
is our hope and prayer that this time of preparation will enhance your
wedding ceremony and provide a strong foundation for your married life
together. We are anxious to
assist you in any way we can. Sincerely, The Parish Staff of St. Andrew Avellino |
