Peace and Justice Committee

The Peace and Justice Committee meets regularly to identify social concerns and to promote changes based on Gospel values.

Parish Life Committee

Seeks to create a sense of community within the parish by providing activities that bring people together, welcome newcomers and respond to the needs of specific groups in the parish.

Dinner Dance Committee

Parishioners who plan and promote the Annual Dinner Dance for the support of the parish school.  Meets frequently from September till the end of November.

Quiet Prayer Group

Weekly meetings are held at which participants learn different methods of quiet prayer.  They spend time praying together quietly.  New members are always welcome.

Italian Prayer Group

Prays together on Thursday at 7:30 pm.  They share their Italian language and traditions.

Scripture Study Group

Weekly meetings are held at which participants focus on the scripture readings for the following Sunday.  A group meets on Tuesday afternoons and welcomes new members.

Bereavement Support Group

The parish Bereavement Support Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:00 am in the Parish Center.

Rosary Society

Organization of Catholic woman dedicated to the Blessed Mother.  Provides spiritual and social benefits to its members and service for the parish.  Meets on the first Monday evening of each month in the school cafeteria.

Counters

Parishioners help tally the parish collection.

Friendship Club

A group of senior parishioners who gather in the cafeteria on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 1:00 pm.  We socialize.  We celebrate holidays and plan bus trips about once a month.  

 

Andrean Players

Perform a Broadway Musical every spring.  Scenery is begun in the fall and auditions are held in January.  If you want to act or work backstage, please call.

Parish School Commission

Parishioners chosen by the pastor to assist the school administration.  Meets monthly from September to June.

Mothers' Club

Mothers of parish school children who plan school activities and assist in fund raising for the school.  Meets regularly from September to June.

 Fathers' Guild

Fathers of parish school children who plan fund-raising activities during the school year. Meet regularly from September to June.

 Parent -  Faculty Organization

Parents of parish school children who plan and develop enrichment programs for the school children.  Meet regularly from September to June.

Athletic Association

The St. Andrew Avellino Athletic Association provides a well organized and supervised sports program for all the youth of the parish.  Interested volunteers are welcome.

Mens  Volleyball

The Mens  Volleyball Club meets on Wednesday at 8:00 pm in the gym from September to April.  They also organize Mens Softball in the spring.  Come join us.

Girl Scouts

Meet on Friday evenings in the parish Center at 7:30 pm to do arts and crafts and to plan trips and projects. All girls from first to ninth grade are welcome.  

Boy Scouts

Meet every Monday evening at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria.  The boys work together to earn merit badges and plan camping trips.  All boys age 9 to 16 are welcome.
